Your Role
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Head Teacher, with a strong primary education background, to lead our new Primary provision for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils (30 places). Working closely with the Head of School and the wider leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement and securing consistently high quality outcomes for all pupils across the Academy.

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

The role is essential in providing support to pupils across the academy and play a role, with others, in working proactively to break down barriers to learning. The role is also essential in planning and delivering practical support, advice and guidance to vulnerable families/pupils to reduce the risk of being referred to social care, ensuring families recognise their roles and responsibilities in the education of their children.
You will advise and support the academy staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police.
As a Deputy DSL, you will undertake the day-to-day monitoring and resolution of concerns raised, using face-to-face contact and the secure online reporting system CPOMS to respond to safeguarding issues raised by staff, pupils and parents/carers. You will be readily available to support staff and pupils in the academy.

The SENDCo at Willowfield Academy provides strategic leadership and expert oversight of special educational needs and disabilities provision within a specialist SEND setting. Working as a key member of the school’s wider leadership team and in close partnership with the Principal, the postholder will drive high quality inclusive practice, robust graduated support and effective implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans.
You will ensure that all pupils access an ambitious, coherent and responsive educational offer that enables strong academic, social and emotional progress and supports positive transitions beyond school.
